2015, 2017: Stakeholder Engagement Project for Waiver Rewrite
Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities
Produced 10 regional and online forums with 1,100 participants to collect comments for upcoming waiver rewrite. Promoted, designed meetings and summarized feedback of 2,000 comments from stakeholders.Reviews of training: 93% of participants reported facilitation was “good” or “very good”. Rita is the “poster child for facilitators” “best meeting I have been to”. “Kudos to Rita for reframing meeting in a positive direction.” Final report published on Department 's website and Facebook page.
2014-2015: Autism Capacity Building & Training Project
Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency: Developed Autism 101 training curriculum and trained 300+ pertinent staff in 10 locations on autism spectrum disorder and unique considerations in working with clients with ASD. Developed 10 community learning collaboratives to improve employment outcomes.
2014: Focus group facilitation - Title V Block Grant Project
Georgia Department of Public Health
Provided facilitation services for two stakeholder focus groups for statewide needs assessment for children with special health care needs. Recruitment of participants and meeting coordination.
2014: Stakeholder Engagement Project for HCBS Policy Changes
Georgia Department of Community Health
Through collaboration and outreach, reached 500+ provider/advocacy organizations, promoted and organized 9 town hall sessions and 3 virtual town halls with 700+ attendees for the purpose of soliciting comment for statewide transition plan for home and community based services. Designed café style conversations and interview style Q&A for maximum participation. Collected and sorted hundreds of comments for analysis and reporting to federal agency.
